Henri Doesn't Deliver

For the north/east facing beaches of New England, Tropical Storm Henri provided little to no relief from the summer flat spell that we'd been experiencing since mid-July. While the south facing beaches got some action preceding Henri's arrival, the small swell size and wind conditions couldn't motivate me to make the 1.5 hour trek down to South Coast. The hype of the storm alone was going to put hundreds of kooks in the water, so I opted to see if anything would trickle into my beach. No such luck. While we did have one day of head high+, we also had 40 mph winds on it rendering Nantasket a complete, sloppy mess. By the time the wind began to chill out, the waves were gone. Oh well, I guess I missed this one.

I am hoping to get in another surf session before I leave for Costa Rica in late September. I'm going on a month now without any surfing. So I'm crossing my fingers that the wave gods cooperate! I hope you're surfing where you are :)

Oh, and on a personal note I'd like to announce that.... I GOT ENGAGED! I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with this incredible woman. I'm very lucky to have found her, and I'm looking forward to an amazing life together. We're planning a wedding of some sort in the late spring or early summer of 2022.
